Job summary

McCoy's Building Supply in Brazoria, TX is seeking a delivery driver to transport lumber and building materials to customers and sites. You will collect COD payments, verify orders, and obtain signatures on delivery tickets, while following directions and maintaining records for tracking purposes.

You will also assist in yard/warehouse tasks, load vehicles safely, operate a forklift, and uphold company safety standards while delivering courteous service to customers in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be 23+ years old and hold a valid drivers license.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently for customer interactions.
• Successful completion of on-the-job training and equipment certification.
• DOT qualifications as required for the vehicle type.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles to deliver lumber, building materials, hardware and related supplies to customers.
• Collect payment on COD orders and record customer information per SOPs.
• Verify order details and obtain customer signature on delivery ticket.
• Maintain safe driving and follow directions or maps to locations.
• Assist in yard/warehouse tasks and keep vehicles clean and safe.
• Provide courteous customer service and resolve complaints with store staff.
