Job summary

Sheetz is hiring petroleum drivers to load, transport, and deliver petrol products to store locations around Roanoke, VA. You’ll operate modern trucks in a safety‑minded, compliant role with DOT rules and mileage expectations.

Expect a rotating 4‑day/10‑hour schedule and predictable home time within about 150 miles of Roanoke. We offer comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid holidays, and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• Must be minimum 21 years old and eligible to engage in interstate travel.
• CDL A license with 4 years' experience and 260,000 verifiable miles required.
• Driving experience within the last 2 years OR within the past 3 years with over 1 million miles required.
• Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements required.
• Valid DOT medical card or obtain prior to hire.
• Must meet DOT testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations.
• TWIC required at terminal locations post hire.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Tools & Equipment include hand tools and motorized equipment.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive to destinations in compliance with all laws and company policies.
• Accurately complete required documentation.
• Load, transport and unload petroleum products safely.
• Maintain Hours of Service and medical certification per regulations.
• Learn and execute other duties as assigned.

Compensation

• $40.70/hour with an average of 40 hours weekly
• Time-and-a-half pay after 40 hours
• Safety Bonus Perkz: Potential to earn $875+ per quarter
• Paid bi-weekly through direct deposit

Home Time, Route, & Schedule

• Home Daily!
• 4-day, 10-hour rotating schedule
• Multiple shifts available
• Routes within approximately 150 miles of Roanoke, VA
• Load & unload responsibilities included

Equipment

• Mostly Volvo and Freightliner trucks
  • Fleet refreshed every 3-4 years
• Heil trailers replaced every 6 years
• RollTek and Air-Ride seats

Responsibilities

• Safely drive to destination in accordance with all federal, state and local regulations and company policies/procedures.
• Accurately complete required documentation.

• Maintain Hours of Service requirements/medical certification in accordance with all Federal, State, and Local regulations.
• Learn and execute other job duties as assigned

  • Motorized Equipment (generators, pressure washer, fork lift, etc.)
• Hiring Radius: Drivers must live within 1 hour and 15-minute commute distance from Roanoke, VA (average 65 mile radius) or be willing to relocate for this position
