Job summary

Sheetz is seeking a truck driver with a Class A CDL to transport goods across interstate routes. Responsibilities include pickups, deliveries, and supporting drivers with hours of service issues.

You must be 21+ with a valid CDL-A and DOT medical card; experience or completion of the Driver Trainee Program is required. Expect comprehensive benefits and performance-based bonuses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be minimum of 21 years old and eligible for interstate travel.
• Minimum 2 years’ tractor-trailer experience or completion of Driver Trainee Program.
• Class CDL-A license required and valid DOT medical card.

Responsibilities

• Make scheduled vendor pickups.
• Relief driver to assist other drivers with hours of service issues.
• Perform special deliveries to stores or events as scheduled.
• Position trucks and trailers at dock locations.
• Operate refer units and ensure unit functionality.
• Maintain trailer cooling/heating as needed.
• Hook tractors to trailers and drive to fuel island for refueling.
• Run wash bay and clean chrome wheels and bumpers as assigned.
• Maintain daily activity log by equipment and type.

This position offers a base hourly wage of $23.10 per hour, plus bonus based on company performance.

Responsibilities

1. Make scheduled pick-ups at assigned vendors.2. Act as a relief driver to assist drivers who encounter hours of service issues.3. Perform special deliveries to stores or other events as scheduled.4. Position trucks and trailer at the appropriate dock location.5. Turn on refer units and ensure the units are functioning properly.6. Ensure the cooler and freezer areas of the trailer are at appropriate temperatures prior to products being loaded.7. Hook tractors with assigned trailers.8. Deliver truck to fuel island for re-fueling purposes.9. Run equipment through wash bay and hand polish chromes wheels and bumpers as assigned.10. Maintain daily activity log to reflect positioning, fueling, repairs, etc. by equipment and type.

Overview

Responsible for ensuring that trucks and trailers are positioned in the appropriate location and that they are maintained and functioning properly, along with handling pick-ups and deliveries as needed utilizing a Class A CDL vehicle.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred

Experience

• Must be minimum of 21 years old and eligible to engage in interstate travel required
• Minimum 2 years’ experience and 130,000 verifiable tractor trailer miles required OR successful completion of the Driver Trainee Program

Licenses/Certifications

• Class CDL-A License required
• Valid Medical Examiners Certificate (medical card) in accordance with DOT Guidelines required
