Job summary

Sheetz is seeking a safety-conscious tractor-trailer driver to transport and deliver products from the Distribution Center to store locations across a defined route. The role requires compliance with DOT regulations, accurate logkeeping, and vehicle inspections.

The starting pay is a base hourly rate $34.10–$36.50 plus performance bonuses. Candidates must be at least 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL and DOT medical card, and have interstate travel experience or complete the Driver Trainee

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old and eligible for interstate travel.
• Minimum 2 years experience and 130,000 verifiable tractor trailer miles or completion of Driver Trainee Program.
• Class A CDL with Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT) required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and inspect tractor-trailer; report defects.
• Deliver and unload products from the Distribution Center to stores; maintain route safety and timeliness.
• Maintain required logs, mileage records, and Bills of Lading; comply with regulations.

This position offers a base hourly range of $34.10 - $36.50 per hour, depending on years of tractor-trailer experience and mileage, plus bonus based on company performance.

Responsibilities

1. Must consistently demonstrate respectful and professional behavior including interactions between customers and Sheetz employees.2. Inspect truck and trailer for defects and safe operating condition before, during, and after trips and submit written report on the condition of the truck-trailer at the end of each trip or tour of duty.3. Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures and comply with all federal, state and local regulations for safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.4. Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations including but not limited to driver’s log, mileage records, and Bill of Lading.5. Report all highway safety hazards noted in route, accidents involving driver or company equipment, and delays due to break-downs, weather or traffic conditions.6. Load and unload product in a manner that ensure safety and minimal risk of damage to product. Verify that product is being held and delivered at appropriate temperatures to maintain product integrity, appearance and safety.

Overview

Transport and deliver all products from the Distribution Center or Terminal to the various store locations in a safe and timely manner.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred

Experience

• Must be minimum of 21 years old and eligible to engage in interstate travel required
• Minimum 2 years experience and 130,000 verifiable tractor trailer miles required OR successful completion of the Driver Trainee Program

Licenses/Certifications

• Class A CDL required
• Valid Medical Examiners Certificate (medical card) in accordance with DOT Guidelines required
