Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Decatur, Alabama is seeking a CDL-A delivery driver to operate tractor-trailers and straight trucks for intrastate/interstate routes. You will deliver food products to customers, ensure on-time arrival, and maintain DOT-compliant safety practices.

Responsibilities include unloading, securing freight, completing required paperwork, and providing excellent customer service while following company policies and DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 6+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• Attains or has valid DOT Health Card.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally.
• Performs safety checks (pre/post trip) and inspects tractor/trailer.
• Drives to and delivers customer orders on schedule.
• Unloads products and secures trailer and freight.
• Completes necessary paperwork and verifies deliveries.
