Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to operate tractor trailer or straight truck on local and interstate routes out of Madison, AL. Routes are 12–13 hours, Monday–Friday, with early dispatches between 3:00 AM and 5:00 AM.

Responsibilities include safe driving, timely deliveries, customer interactions, and proper paperwork. Competitive pay and benefits start Day 1, with growth opportunities in food distribution.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A license.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure one.
• Pass post offer drug test and background check.
• Pass road test and DOT regulations compliance.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers, vendors and coworkers professionally.
• Drive tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes.
• Complete pre/post trip inspections and safety checks per DOT rules.
• Deliver and unload food products to customers on schedule.
• Verify deliveries, collect payments where required, obtain signatures.
• Record hours and maintain paperwork accurately.
