Job summary

Performance Food Group is hiring a CDL-A Driver in Clinton, IA. You will operate tractor-trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, delivering food products to customers with safety and DOT compliance at the forefront.

The role starts at a competitive hourly rate with a $4,000 sign-on bonus. Home every night, early mornings, and benefits start Day 1 are highlighted in the offering.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6–12+ months commercial driving experience preferred.
• Valid CDL-A license and DOT Health Card required.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years and pass drug/criminal checks.
• Ability to lift and handle freight up to 90 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with customers, vendors and teammates.
• Perform safety checks including pre/post trip inspections per DOT rules.
• Deliver and unload products to customer sites on schedule.
• Verify invoices, collect payments where required and obtain signatures.
• Secure tractor/trailer and maintain accurate logs of hours of service.
• Complete required paperwork legibly and on time.
• Report safety hazards and coordinate with supervisor as needed.
