Job summary

Sysco in Reno seeks an experienced delivery driver to run daily routes, loading and unloading at stops, and ensuring timely deliveries. You will operate in a cross-dock model and perform pre-trip inspections, obtain customer signatures, and address discrepancies while adhering to safety and Sysco policies.

Candidates must be 21+, pass screening, have a valid CDL A, and be able to lift 40–100 lbs. Overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

Qualifications

• 21+ years of age.
• Valid Class A CDL with a driving record meeting the company's minimum standard.
• English language proficiency to converse with customers and read/understand road signs.
• Ability to lift 40–100 pounds repeatedly and perform physical duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
• Runs routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times.
• Unload product from trailer by hand or hand cart and place in customer storage areas.
• Lift, push, or move product up to 100 pounds; stack/unstack pallets with a hand cart.
• Verify delivery with customer, obtain signatures, and communicate discrepancies.
• Call in when a customer does not receive the full order (shorts).
• Handle customer complaints professionally.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and Sysco policies.
