Job summary

Gordon Food Service in Miami seeks a CDL A Local Delivery Driver to provide daily home-time while delivering food products to a range of customers, including restaurants, schools and hospitals. You will build relationships with customers and be home each day on local routes.

The role requires a Class A CDL with manual transmission capability, strong customer service, and the ability to lift up to 100 lbs with a two-wheel cart; you will unload at customer sites and follow DOT guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Valid Class A CDL with ability to operate a 10-speed manual
• Prior food or beverage delivery experience preferred
• Strong customer service orientation and professionalism
• Able to unload cases up to 100 lbs with ramp and two-wheeler
• Must pass drug test and background check
• Clean driving record per DOT and company standards
• Must be registered with the DOT Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent

In this position, you will be building relationships with customers while delivering food products essential to restaurants, schools, hospitals, universities, and more. Day shifts and local routes mean you'll be home every day. You'll be required to unload cases up to 100 lbs, and you'll be using a ramp and two-wheeler throughout your shift. Schedule

Monday-Friday. Start time 3:00 AM - 5:00 AM until route finish

Pay

Guaranteed minimum of $1,100.00/week

• Drivers average 90,000/year
• Daily base pay, plus component pay
• Paid for every mile driven, stop made, and case delivered

Does this look like you?

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A CDL (must be able to operate a 10-speed manual; no automatic restrictions)
• Prior food or beverage delivery experience preferred
• Strong customer service orientation and professionalism
• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
• Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
• You must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020.
