Job summary

Gordon Food Service is seeking a CDL A Delivery Driver to Greensburg, PA. You will build relationships with customers, deliver essential food products to a variety of establishments, and return home daily with local routes. Expect early start times (3–5 AM) and responsibilities like unloading up to 100 lbs and operating a two-wheel cart.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Class A Commercial Driver's License required at hire.
• Able to operate a two-wheel cart with loads up to 350 lbs.
• Able to lift up to 100 lbs throughout shift.
• English reading, writing and comprehension required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food products to customers including restaurants, schools, hospitals and more.
• Build relationships with customers and ensure orders are fulfilled accurately.
• Home every day with local routes and start times between 3:00 AM and 5:00 AM.
• Unload cases and deliver with safety equipment (ramp, two-wheeler).
• Paid for miles driven, stops made, and cases delivered; weekly pay.

CDL A Delivery Driver

Location : Greensburg, PA.

Do you have a passion for driving? Are you looking for more home time? Picture yourself as a delivery driver with Gordon Food Service! In this position, you will be building relationships with customers while delivering food products essential to restaurants, schools, hospitals, universities, and more. Day shifts and local routes mean you'll be home every day. You'll be required to unload cases up to 100 lbs, and you'll be using a ramp and two-wheeler throughout your shift. Schedule : Start time 3 AM - 5 AM until work until the route is finished.

Pay :

Drivers average $70K - $100 K /year Guaranteed minimum of $1100 /week Daily base pay, plus component pay Paid for every mile driven, stop made, and case delivered

Does this look like you?

• At least 21 years of age
• Class A CDL License at hire
• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs throughout the shift
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions)
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
• Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
• You must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020.
