Job summary

Sysco Illinois is seeking a professional Truck Driver to safely transport products from the warehouse to customer locations, primarily during the day with some night driving. Routes extend 2–3 days and may travel out of state, delivering on schedule per invoices and company standards.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, high school diploma or GED, and 1 year of tractor-trailer experience or completion of a driving school. UTF-8 English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience preferred.
• Completion of a tractor-trailer driving school accepted in lieu of or in addition to high school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports product from the warehouse to customer locations on assigned routes.
• Loads and unloads product according to customer specifications.
• Completes paperwork per DOT and company guidelines (logs, inspections, maintenance reports, invoices).
• Maintains safety protocols for product temperature and handling.
• Operates equipment safely and follows management guidance on unsafe conditions.
• Develops good relationships with customers through courteous service and clear communication.
• Communicates route, trailer, loading, or product issues to management.
• Works assigned schedule and may work outside normal hours to meet customer needs.
