Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Class A CDL driver for Sygma Illinois to safely transport products from the warehouse to customer locations in a timely manner, following company standards.

This position mainly drives during the day but may require night shifts. Routes extend out of state for 2–3 days at a time; overnight and weekend work may be needed to meet customer needs. Valid CDL and insurability are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1 year tractor-trailer driving experience preferred.
• Completion of a tractor-trailer driving school is acceptable in lieu of a diploma.
• Valid Class A CDL is required to operate company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports product from the warehouse to customer locations according to route and specs.
• Completes all required DOT logs, inspections, and delivery paperwork accurately and on time.
• Maintains proper temperatures and food safety protocols in the delivery vehicle.
• Adheres to safety policies and immediately reports unsafe conditions to management.
• Operates equipment including tractor-trailer, 45'–48' trailers, and hand cart; communicates issues as needed.
• Builds courteous customer relationships and communicates route updates to management.
• Works assigned schedule, including overtime, weekends, and night drives as necessary.
