Job summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions is seeking safety-conscious Class A Linehaul Drivers for long-haul routes from Wichita to Oklahoma City. This role requires transferring freight, hooking/unhooking trailers, and completing required government paperwork.

Drivers are home daily with weekends off to support a healthy work-life balance. Essentials include passing DOT inspections, maintaining accurate shipping documents, and operating tractor-trailer combinations over long distances.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• At least 21 years of age.
• 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• No DUI/DWI (in past 3 years).
• No more than 3 traffic violations (in past 3 years).
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Hook up and haul trailers between locations as instructed by dispatch.
• Ensure shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and accompanies shipment.
• Operate tractor-trailer for extended periods over long distances.

JOB SUMMARY

This position requires transferring freight to specified locations in a timely manner, hook and unhook commercial trailers, and complete all paperwork required by government regulations and company procedures/policies. Our Linehaul Drivers are home daily with weekends off, allowing them to enjoy a healthy work-life balance. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Hook up and haul trailers between our customer/terminal locations as instructed by dispatch or immediate supervisor
• Ensure all shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies the shipment to the delivery point
• Operate tractor-trailer combination for extended periods of time, over long distances

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Class A CDL
• At least 21 years of age
• 1 year of commercial driving experience
• No DUI’s or DWI’s (in the past 3 years)
• No more than 3 traffic violations (in past 3 years)
• Must have Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or be willing to obtain - renewals reimbursable

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to frequently enter and exit the cab of a commercial vehicle.
• Must be able to carry freight weighing up to 40 pounds for a distance of up to 20 feet.
• Must be able to hook and unhook various commercial vehicle combinations, to manually lower and raise landing gear, to operate fifth wheel release levers, to lock and release pintle-hooks, to attach and release safety chains, to open and close cargo doors, to climb into and out of vehicles, and to fuel and check oil/coolant levels of vehicles.
