CrossCountry Freight Solutions, Irving, TX, is seeking safety-conscious CDL A Linehaul Drivers. You will transfer freight to specified locations, hook and unhook trailers, and complete required DOT paperwork. Drivers are home daily with weekends off, offering a healthy work-life balance.

Qualifications include a valid Class A CDL, minimum 21 years old, 1 year of experience, clean driving record, and Hazmat/Tanker endorsements or willingness to obtain. Pre-employment assessment required.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Class A CDL and be at least 21 years old.
• At least 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• No DUI/DWI in past 3 years and no more than 3 traffic violations in past 3 years.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or willing to obtain; renewals reimbursable.

Responsabilités

• Transfer freight to designated locations safely and on time.
• Hook and unhook trailers and manage trailer connections as instructed.
• Prepare and verify shipping documentation for DOT inspections and shipments.
• Operate tractor-trailer over long distances and ensure regulatory compliance.

Job Summary

Essential Job Duties

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Hook up and haul trailers between our customer/terminal locations as instructed by dispatch or immediate supervisor
• Ensure all shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies the shipment to the delivery point
• Operate tractor-trailer combination for extended periods of time, over long distances

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Skills And Knowledge

• Valid Class A CDL
• At least 21 years of age
• 1 year of commercial driving experience
• No DUI’s or DWI’s (in the past 3 years)
• No more than 3 traffic violations (in past 3 years)
• Must have Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or be willing to obtain - renewals reimbursable
• This position requires successful completion of a pre-employment skills assessment

Physical Demands

• Must be able to frequently enter and exit the cab of a commercial vehicle.
• Must be able to carry freight weighing up to 40 pounds for a distance of up to 20 feet.
• Must be able to hook and unhook various commercial vehicle combinations, to manually lower and raise landing gear, to operate fifth wheel release levers, to lock and release pintle-hooks, to attach and release safety chains, to open and close cargo doors, to climb into and out of vehicles, and to fuel and check oil/coolant levels of vehicles.
