CrossCountry Freight Solutions, Inc. in Dallas, TX is seeking safety-conscious Class A Linehaul Drivers to transfer freight to designated locations, hook and unhook trailers, and complete required paperwork.

Our drivers are home daily with weekends off, supporting a healthy work-life balance while delivering on-time service. Drivers earn $0.71 per mile for singles and $0.73 per mile for doubles, with benefits including medical, vision, dental, PTO, EAP, and a 401K match.

Formación

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Hazmat endorsement required or willing to obtain.
• Tanker endorsement required or willing to obtain.
• Must pass pre-employment skills assessment.
• Applicant must be at least 21 years old.
• Minimum of 1 year commercial driving experience.
• No DUI/DWI in the past 3 years.
• No more than 3 traffic violations in the past 3 years.

• Hook up and haul trailers between customer/terminal locations as directed by dispatch or supervisor.
• Ensure shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and accompanies shipment to delivery point.

JOB SUMMARY

This position requires transferring freight to specified locations in a timely manner, hook and unhook commercial trailers, and complete all paperwork required by government regulations and company procedures/policies. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Hook up and haul trailers between our customer/terminal locations as instructed by dispatch or immediate supervisor
• Ensure all shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies the shipment to the delivery point
• Operate tractor-trailer combination for extended periods of time, over long distances

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Skills and Knowledge

• Valid Class A CDL
• At least 21 years of age
• 1 year of commercial driving experience
• No DUI’s or DWI’s (in the past 3 years)
• No more than 3 traffic violations (in past 3 years)
• Must have Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or be willing to obtain - renewals reimbursable
• This position requires successful completion of a pre-employment skills assessment

Physical Demands

• Must be able to frequently enter and exit the cab of a commercial vehicle.
• Must be able to carry freight weighing up to 40 pounds for a distance of up to 20 feet.
• Must be able to hook and unhook various commercial vehicle combinations, to manually lower and raise landing gear, to operate fifth wheel release levers, to lock and release pintle-hooks, to attach and release safety chains, to open and close cargo doors, to climb into and out of vehicles, and to fuel and check oil/coolant levels of vehicles.
