Job summary

Schneider is seeking an Intermodal Driver Instructor to coach, mentor and onboard new drivers, delivering hands-on training in both classroom and truck settings.

Qualifications

• 12+ months of Class A CDL driving experience.

Intermodal Driver Instructor

Home time: Daily

Experience: 12 months or greater CDL experience

Job responsibilities

• Coach, mentor and onboard new drivers.

• Perform hands-on training in the classroom and in the truck.

• Train drivers on safety, hours of service, trip-planning, workflow, tablet, policies and procedures.

• Act as a safety advocate and driver retention ambassador for the organization.

• Teach driving skills that align with Schneider’s guidelines and materials.

• Show drivers how to use Schneider’s electronic tablets and workflow system.

• Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement.

Driver qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

• DOT physical card.

• Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience.

• Live within 50 miles of Chambersburg, PA.
