Qualdoc in Richmond, VA seeks a CDL-A Infrastructure Maintenance Operator/Laborer for field maintenance, repair, and heavy equipment support. This hands-on role requires safety-minded workers who can handle outdoor labor, operate equipment when qualified, and follow DOT rules.

The position offers 40 hours weekly with significant overtime, on-call 24/7, and paid overtime outside standard hours. Benefits included. Starting pay is $26 per hour with potential for higher pay based on experience.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with a good driving record.
• Experience in construction labor or physically demanding roles.
• Ability to perform outdoor fieldwork and operate heavy equipment when qualified.
• Willingness to complete required qualification tests and safety training.
• Availability for emergency callouts 24/7, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and equipment per DOT rules.
• Transport equipment and materials safely to job sites.
• Load, unload, stage, and position equipment for field assignments.
• Assist with infrastructure maintenance, repair, construction, and site prep.
• Operate heavy equipment when qualified (excavators, backhoes, loaders, cranes, etc.).
• Assist with equipment setup, lifting and rigging using chains, cables, and winches.
• Use hydraulic tools, welding and cutting tools, electrical tools, and hand tools as needed.
• Perform minor equipment maintenance and report complex issues.
• Participate in safety briefings, inspections, site cleanup, and restocking.
• Keep vehicles and work areas clean and organized.
