Job summary

Lever, Inc. is seeking a Class A CDL Equipment Operator for railroad emergency response and rerailing operations. This hands-on role blends truck driving with heavy equipment operation, material handling, rigging, and physical labor.

Beyond emergencies, the position may include shop work, routine maintenance, and safety training. 40 hours per week with substantial overtime and 24/7 on-call availability for emergencies.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Experience in construction or heavy equipment operation.
• Willingness for 24/7 emergency response and weekend/holiday work.
• Ability to perform physical field work and extended hours.
• Drug screening and background check required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct DOT inspections before and after operating trucks and equipment.
• Transport machinery, materials, and supplies to work locations.
• Check cargo and permits for oversized or overweight loads.
• Participate in daily planning, safety meetings, and job briefings.
• Load, unload, move, and position equipment for railroad and rerailing work.
• Assist with equipment setup, rigging, and crane operations.
