Socket.dev in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Class A CDL Equipment Operator to support railroad emergency response and construction projects. This role combines commercial driving with heavy equipment operation and hands-on field work, with a focus on safety and reliability.

You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, safely transport equipment to job sites, assist with crane and rigging tasks, and participate in daily safety meetings.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Experience in construction, equipment operation, or physically demanding labor.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively.
• Must be available 24/7 for emergency response, including weekends and holidays.
• Able to perform physically demanding field work.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections per DOT requirements.
• Safely transport equipment to and from job sites.
• Operate cranes, backhoes, bulldozers, excavators, and loaders.
• Support railroad emergency response and related maintenance activities.
• Maintain safe and organized work areas and participate in safety meetings.
