Socket.dev is seeking a CDL-A Equipment Laborer (Track) in Kansas City, MO for a full-time, direct-hire role focused on railroad emergency response and track operations. Starting pay is $26.00/hour with substantial overtime potential and per diem, travel hotel accommodations, and layover pay where applicable.

The position involves driving, loading/unloading, rail-related maintenance, rerailing, and operating cranes/heavy equipment. On-call weekends and holidays are required.

Qualifications

• CDL-A license required and a clean driving record.
• Experience in construction labor or a physically demanding role.
• Ability to pass safety trainings and qualifications tests.
• 24/7 availability to respond to emergency calls.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and equipment.
• Drive tractor-trailers to and from job sites and inspect loads.
• Move and load materials for rerailing and track maintenance.
• Operate heavy equipment and assist with crane operations as needed.
• Follow safety policies and document maintenance.
