Qualifications

• Three years of verifiable Class-A driving experience (manual transmission).

• Pass a DOT Drug Test.
• Ability to conduct all operations in a safe manner.
• Requires getting into and out of the truck frequently.
• Must be able to work 12 hours shift.
• Must be able to lift and/or move 70 lbs. on a regular basis.
• A tanker driver must also be physically able to load and unload the tanker.

Responsibilities

• Safe product handling and transportation in compliance with regulations.
• Pickup and drop-off of Petroleum Products.
• Keep truck properly maintained and follow safe driving regulations.
• Maintain communication with dispatch regarding delays or issues.
• Perform a daily DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspection; inform maintenance.
• Maintain a daily DOT E‑log.
• Keep vehicle neat and tidy.
• Comply with company safety and performance standards.

Job description

Henner Tank Lines, Inc., a leading contract carrier, is currently seeking local Class-A drivers to join our team. As an employee-owned and locally operated company, we value our drivers as integral members of our family, not just as numbers in an out-of-state operation.

Am and Pm shifts are open in our Gilroy terminal. We offer full-time employment at four-on three-off standard schedules. We have some flexibility in schedule options if you have a special circumstances - first come first serve! Henner Tank Lines maintains year-round steady work.

Full weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday included) pay $1 more per hour on top of the regular pay. All trucks are late-model Peterbilt's with Beall tanks- some of the nicest in the industry.

Available Shifts

• Gilroy Am (Sunday to Wednesday) Starting wage $36 P/H plus $2 p/h safety bonus.
• Gilroy Am (Thursday to Sunday ) Starting wage $37 P/H plus $2 p/h safety bonus.
• Gilroy Pm (Sunday to Wednesday) Starting wage $38 P/H plus $2 p/h safety bonus.
• Gilroy Pm (Wednesday to Saturday) Starting wage $38 P/H plus $2 p/h safety bonus.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• The Petroleum Product Tanker Driver's responsibilities include safe product handling, product quality assurance, and product transportation consistent with regulatory compliance and company operating goals.
• The Petroleum Product Tanker Driver is responsible for the pick-up and the drop-off of Petroleum Products.
• The driver must keep the truck properly maintained and must follow all safe driving regulations.
• Maintains communication with dispatch as to any delays or issues during the route/shift.
• Performs a daily DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspection checklist, informing maintenance personnel of any issues.
• Maintains a daily, legible DOT E log.
• Maintains the vehicle in a neat and tidy manner.
• Comply with all company safety & performance standards.

$36.00 to $41.00 /hour.
