Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking CDL-A drivers to support its food distribution network. You will drive tractor-trailer or straight trucks across intrastate and interstate routes, ensuring timely delivery and safe unloading of food products while adhering to DOT regulations.

Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, load checks, customer interactions, and securing cargo. Requires clean driving record, DOT Health Card, and ability to lift heavy items; shift begins early mornings with

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 12+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A license.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test.
• Pass road test.
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure.
• Ability to lift 10–90 pounds and operate lift equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safe driving policies.
• Report safety hazards and inspect trailer loads.
• Verify freight and complete required paperwork.
• Deliver orders on schedule and unload at customer sites.
• Collect payment when required and obtain customer signatures.
• Secure tractors, trailers, and freight after shifts.
• Complete daily hours-of-service logs and housekeeping.
