Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Houma, LA is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to join our food distribution team. You will drive tractor-trailer or straight trucks on local and interstate routes, delivering and unloading products to customers.

Training is five days a week for 8 weeks, with $190/day during training and $225/day after. Drivers average about $60,000/year plus benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A and 21+ years old; clean MVR in last 3 years.
• DOT Health Card current or able to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Communicates professionally with customers, vendors and co-workers.
• Performs safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Drives tractor/trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes.
• Delivers and unloads products to customers in a timely manner.
• Collects payments where required and ensures accurate paperwork.
• Maintains logs of hours and completes necessary DOT documentation.
