Job summary

NIS EXPRESS is hiring for a regional/solo flatbed driver. Trainees get 2–3 weeks of classroom and hands-on training, learning tarping, chains, and securement on real loads. You’ll earn $800 a week during training and $800/week minimum for the first month solo, then go to percentage pay with 26%–27% of the load, plus per diem.

After training, expect home every weekend and a 34‑hour reset. Most drivers run regional within five states, with pay of $40 per tarped load and $16/hour detention after

Qualifications

• Must be at least 22 years old with a valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 1 year OTR tractor-trailer experience in last 3 years (a month of CDL school counts).
• No flatbed experience needed.
• No more than 3 moving violations in last 3 years.
• No DUI/DWI in last 3 years.
• Must pass a urine drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Learn flatbed via 2–3 week training program (classroom and hands-on).
• Drive own assigned truck after training and work regionally
• Deliver loads such as steel, pipe and building materials with proper tarping and securement.

Job description

You've done your year hauling a box trailer and you're tired of sitting at docks while flatbed drivers make better money. We'll teach you flatbed on our dime, pay you while you learn, and then put you in your own truck with home every weekend.

How the Switch Works

• 2 to 3 week flatbed training program, classroom plus hands-on
• Learn securement, tarping, chains and binders on real loads like steel, pipe and building materials
• Extra week with a road trainer if you need it
• Then into your own assigned truck as a solo flatbed driver

Pay From Day One

• $800 a week while you train ($160 a day)
• $800 a week minimum your first 4 weeks solo
• Then percentage pay: 26% of the load, rising to 27% after 12 weeks
• Experienced flatbed drivers here average $1,400 to $1,600 a week
• $300 a week non-taxed per diem
• Paid every Friday by direct deposit, nothing held back

After Training

• Home every weekend with a 34 hour reset
• Most drivers run regional within 5 states
• $40 per tarped load, $16/hour detention after 2 hours
• Cascadia or T680 automatic, 3 years old or newer, assigned only to you
