Job summary

Perdue Farms is seeking a Feed Delivery Driver to load and deliver feed to assigned customers, coordinating with dispatch to meet daily priorities. You will ensure accuracy and safety, and serve as an extra set of eyes for fleet maintenance.

Requirements include a High School or equivalent, a Class A CDL, and 2+ years of CDL A driving experience, with ability to perform pre-trip inspections and work outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Class A CDL license is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of feed according to dispatcher scheduling.
• Perform a pre-trip truck inspection and report deficiencies.
• Ensure correct weight of feed is loaded and delivered to farms.
• Operate boom to direct feed and prevent spills, report issues.
• Maintain accurate fuel, trip tickets, logs and time sheets.
• May need to climb to direct loading and use a sledgehammer to free jammed feed.
• Perform other duties as required.
