Job summary

Perdue Farms is seeking a Feed Delivery Driver to ensure timely and accurate delivery of feed to assigned customers, coordinating with dispatch to meet daily priorities. You will load, inspect, and deliver feed while maintaining safety and recordkeeping.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, verify load weight, and assist in maintenance reporting. This is outdoor work in all weather, requiring climbing as needed and a Class A CDL with 2+ years of CDL A experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Class A CDL license is required.
• 2+ years of CDL A driving experience, preferably delivering feed.
• Reading, writing and math skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Load and deliver feed to assigned customers, coordinating with dispatch to meet daily priorities.
• Perform pre-trip truck inspections and report any deficiencies to fleet mechanics.
• Ensure correct weight of feed is loaded and delivered to farm locations.
• Operate boom to direct feed into holding bins, minimizing spills and reporting problems.
• Maintain accurate records of fuel purchases, trip tickets, daily logs, and time sheets.
• May need to climb trucks to direct loading and, occasionally, use a sledgehammer for feed removal; perform other duties as required.
