Job summary

American Driver LLC is seeking South Hillsborough regional drivers for eastern lanes, with home every two weeks, and a strong mentor program for new CDL grads. Loads stay in the eastern states, so you won’t chase cross-country freight.

You’ll earn weekly during training, with $1,000 guaranteed for your first 3 months solo, then about $1,200 weekly once solo. Start pay is $0.55 per mile, rising to $0.65 with time, averaging around 2,500 miles weekly.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL from your state of residence, 21 or older.
• New CDL grad with 120+ school hours, or 6 months of recent experience.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years.
• No DUI/DWI in the past 10 years.
• DOT physical and hair and urine drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operate in eastern regional lanes with biweekly home time.
• Complete orientation; 2 days at most; mentor training and onboarding.
• Perform live loads/preloads; drop and hook; logs and fueling; maintain safety standards.

What you earn

• Paid every week during training

Your week

Eastern regional lanes, drop and hook, live loads and preloads. Out about two weeks, then home.

From CDL school to your own truck

1. A recruiter calls you and reviews your CDL and driving record with you.
2. Orientation, 2 days at most. Hotel paid, one-way bus ticket reimbursed, $300 for orientation once hired.


3. 4 to 6 weeks with a mentor: backing, trip planning, logs and fueling. You are paid every week.


4. Your own assigned truck, about 1.5 years old on average, automatic or 10-speed. For your first 3 months solo, your pay will not drop below $1,000 a week.
