Job summary

Liberty Tire Recycling is seeking a CDL A Driver for drop and hook operations in Des Moines, IA. The role requires safe transport of tires, secure loading, DOT compliance, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 22 years.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Must meet FMCSA driver qualification requirements.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record per DOT standards.
• Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely remove and transport tires from customer locations to Liberty Tire Recycling facilities or disposal sites.
• Perform drop and hook trailer operations with loaded/empty trailers at customer locations and yards.
• Ensure loads are secured and compliant with DOT safety requirements.
• Complete DVIRs and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Accurately fill DOT logs, bills of lading, manifests and related paperwork.
• Collect payments from cash customers when required, following cash-handling procedures.
• Maintain clean, safe, and well‑operating equipment at all times.
• Navigate routes using maps, GPS, and dispatch instructions while accounting for traffic/weather.
