Job summary

Performance Food Group in the United States is seeking a delivery driver to ensure on-time, safe deliveries of food products across intrastate and interstate routes. You will operate a tractor trailer or straight truck, adhere to DOT regulations, and act as the face of the company with customers.

Responsibilities include delivering orders, unloading freight, verifying invoices, completing required paperwork, and maintaining safety checks.

Qualifications

• 12+ months commercial driving experience.
• High school diploma/GED or state approved equivalent.
• Valid CDL A.
• Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• Valid current DOT Health Card.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
• Follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
• Drives to and delivers customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule.
• Unloads products from the trailer, transports items into designated customer storage areas.
• Verifies delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures.
• Performs count check of items and checks customer invoices for loaded products.
• Completes all necessary paperwork associated with freight.
