Performance Food Group delivers food and related products across Illinois, serving independent restaurants and other clients. As a delivery driver, you are the face of the company, ensuring on-time, safe deliveries and building lasting customer relationships.

The role offers $31.20 per hour, a 4- or 5-day work week, and comprehensive benefits starting Day 1, with opportunities for growth within a large national distribution network.

Qualifications

• 12+ months commercial driving experience.
• High school diploma/GED or state approved equivalent.
• Valid CDL A.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
• Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift; product generally ranges from between 10-35 pounds and up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location

Responsabilités

• Communicates with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally and timely.
• Delivers and unloads food and related products to customers on schedule.
• Performs safety checks per DOT regulations and inspects vehicle.
• Reports safety issues and repairs as needed.
• Follows DOT regulations and company guidelines.
• Secures tractor/trailer and ensures proper loading.
• Obtains customer signatures and handles delivery documentation.
• Completes daily hours-of-service logs per regulations.
• Performs general housekeeping on the dock and trailers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
