Job summary

Schneider National is seeking a Driver Instructor to coach and mentor new driver associates in training, both in classroom and in the truck. You will teach skills, safety, and hours-of-service concepts, preparing drivers for successful careers with Schneider.

Responsibilities include hands-on instruction, feedback, and compliance with DOT requirements. Location is near Atlanta, GA, with a focus on safety, policy adherence, and high-quality training outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in coaching or instructing adults.
• Ability to teach and evaluate driver candidates.
• Strong safety orientation and knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Comfort using tablet-based training and workflow systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead classroom and in-truck training for new drivers.
• Demonstrate driving skills aligned with Schneider guidelines.
• Provide constructive feedback and progress updates to candidates.
• Maintain DOT compliance and instructor re-certification.
• Support additional duties as business needs evolve.
