Job summary

Performance Food Group in Crestview, FL is hiring for an entry level Driver Trainee to learn tractor-trailer or straight truck delivery routes. Training will occur under a driver trainer, with safety and DOT guidelines emphasized from day one.

You will participate in a structured program, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and progressively deliver orders while ensuring accuracy, safety, and courteous customer service. Competitive benefits start Day 1 and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Valid CDL A license and ability to obtain DOT Health Card.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Pass post offer drug test and road test.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete the Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program.
• Ride-with and assist driver trainer during deliveries.
• Perform pre/post-trip safety checks per DOT regulations.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Drive to deliver customer orders on scheduled routes.
• Unload and verify deliveries, obtain customer signatures and process payments when required.
• Maintain cleanliness and security of tractors, trailers and equipment.
