Job summary

McLane is hiring a CDL-A Driver Trainee in Minnesota to train for a full Driver position. You will learn from experienced Driver Trainers and gain hands-on experience while earning competitive pay and benefits from day one.

During training, you’ll be paid, with routes local or regional, and a strong benefits package including medical, dental, vision insurance and 401(k) after initial eligibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Possess a Class A CDL.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English sufficiently for tasks.

Responsibilities

• Train alongside experienced McLane Driver Trainers to learn all aspects of the role.
• Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and secure lines.
• Operate truck safely in compliance with regulations and policies.
• Inspect tractor-trailer equipment and submit DOT reports.
• Document receipts, temps, and exceptions with the DDH.
• Assist in unloading and delivering products to customers.
