Job summary

McLane is hiring a CDL-A Driver Trainee in Minnesota. You will receive paid training and hands-on coaching to become a full Driver, with local/regional routes and evening dispatch.

You’ll earn competitive pay during training and comprehensive benefits from day one, while you develop skills in safety, delivery, and customer service. Qualified candidates have a Class A CDL, are 21+, and meet McLane's MVR standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Possess a Class A CDL.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Meet McLane's MVR & risk rating qualifications.
• Eligible under McLane Transfer/Promotion policy.
• Ability to load/unload and deliver all products.
• Read/write/understand English for job tasks.
• Read labels, instructions and bills of lading.
• Communicate effectively with customers and teammates.
• Safely drive tractor-trailer and use related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on training to prepare for a full Driver position.
• Learn from experienced Driver Trainers on routes and safety.
• Maintain driver log per DOT regulations.
• Assist in unloading and delivering to customer premises.
• Provide on-time delivery and customer service.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections and report issues.
