McLane in the United States is seeking a Trainee Component Driver to learn essential driving functions and safely distribute products to customer locations. You will be exposed to warehouse operations as part of the developmental program toward becoming a full Driver.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Possess a Class A CDL.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Read and comprehend labels, instructions, and bills of lading.
• Communicate effectively with customers and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver tractor to attach trailer and secure lines.
• Operate the truck safely in compliance with regulations and policies.
• Inspect equipment and submit DOT inspection reports.
• Document deliveries and product temperatures with the Driver Delivery Handheld.
• Train with a Driver Trainer to learn running routes and driving maneuvers.
• Maintain driver logs per DOT regulations.
• Assist in unloading, delivering, and handling customer credits.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
