McLane Company, Inc. is hiring a Driver Trainee Component to learn the essential functions of distribution, safety, and on-time delivery to customer locations. The program includes exposure to warehouse and other operations as part of developing into a full McLane Driver.

Training pay is provided, with post-training pay ranging from a set amount after completion, plus a sign-on bonus based on experience. Day-1 benefits include medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, and life insurance, with holidays,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Possess a Class A CDL.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Read and comprehend labels, instructions, and bills of lading.
• Communicate with customers, management, and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and secure lines.
• Operate truck safely in compliance with regulations and policies.
• Inspect equipment pre/post trip and submit inspections.
• Document deliveries and temperatures with the Driver Delivery Handheld.
• Learn through driver trainer to understand regulations and driving operations.
• Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations.
• Assist in unloading and delivering product to customer premises.
• Provide on-time delivery and handle product returns and credits.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
