Job summary

NIS EXPRESS in Indiana is hiring drivers for the Northeast lanes, offering flexible home time every 2 weeks and weekend options. Expect 1,700 to 2,400 miles weekly on dry van freight with drop and hook, live load, and live unload.

New driver training is paid with guaranteed weekly training pay, then full solo pay after training, plus benefits including health, dental, vision, matched 401k, paid vacation, orientation pay, and travel support.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older with CDL-A license in hand.
• Newer drivers: accredited school certificate showing at least 120 hours.
• Seasoned drivers: 6 months OTR in past 12 months or 1 year OTR in past 5 years.
• Moving violations capped at 2 in 2 years; no major accidents in 5 years.
• No DUI/DWI in 5–10 years; DOT medical and drug testing passed.

Job description

Central Indiana drivers: lots of freight to and from the Northeast, flexible home time, paid training for new CDL holders.

The Job

• Home Time: Every 2 weeks, with weekly and weekend options
• Lanes: Northeastern US, east of the Mississippi
• Miles: 1,700 to 2,400 per week
• Freight: Dry van: drop and hook, live load, live unload

Pay

• $1,100 to $1,700 average weekly
• $1,000/week guaranteed for 3 months after first solo dispatch
• $15 stop pay on every stop except first and last
• Monthly performance bonus

New Drivers

• Paid training with an experienced trainer
• Guaranteed weekly training pay
• Full solo pay once training is complete

Must Meet

• 21 years or older, Class A license in hand
• Newer drivers: accredited school certificate showing at least 120 hours
• Seasoned drivers: half a year OTR in the past 12 months or a year OTR in the past 5
• Moving violations capped at 2 in 2 years
• Zero major preventable accidents over 5 years
• Clean of DUI/DWI for 5 to 10 years
• DOT medical, hair and urine testing passed
• Located within 200 miles of Gary, IN
