Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a CDL A Driver to safely operate heavy trucks for prompt delivery and removal of large containers. You will ensure vehicle readiness, follow safety standards, and complete daily reports while serving customers on assigned routes.

The role requires a Class A CDL with air brakes, strong safety discipline, and prior trucking experience. Excellent customer service and mechanical aptitude are valued as part of a reliable, on-time team contributor.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections per policy to ensure safety and report issues.
• Safely operate heavy truck along designated routes and service each customer as identified.
• Operate controls to lift/load refuse, operate compactor, and dispose of materials.
• Interact with customers, dispatchers and others daily to ensure timely service.
• Perform minor container repairs on site or in yard.
• Tag unsatisfactory waste containers per procedures.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and maintain vehicle readiness.
• Complete route/productivity sheets and required reports.
• Follow safety policies and participate in ReSOP program.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
