Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver – CDL(A) to safely operate heavy trucks for prompt delivery and removal of large containers. You will verify vehicle safety, comply with regulations, and complete daily reports to ensure reliable service for local routes.

Responsibilities include pre/post inspections, loading/unloading, customer interactions, minor container repairs, and adherence to safety standards while supporting the company’s service goals.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior experience driving commercial trucks (preferred).
• Class A CDL with air brakes endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle.
• Safely operate heavy truck along designated route and service each customer.
• Load/unload, operate waste handling equipment, and dispose of material at designated facilities.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and others on a daily basis.
• Complete required route/productivity sheets, VCRs and other reports; follow safety policies.
