Job summary

R-2 Contractors, Inc. is hiring a CDL-A driver to support civil and underground construction across Arizona or occasional OTR trips.

This full-time driving role focuses on safely transporting equipment and materials to project sites, with regular home time and adherence to DOT guidelines. The ideal candidate will hold a valid Class A CDL and medical card, have experience hauling heavy construction equipment, and demonstrate strong safety awareness.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and Medical card.
• Experience hauling heavy construction equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or similar equipment preferred.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with project teams.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport heavy construction equipment and materials to and from Arizona job sites.
• Operate CDL-class vehicles including lowboy trailers, dump trucks, flatbeds, and other heavy-haul equipment.
• Assist field crews as needed at project locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment safety and compliance.
• Load, secure, and transport equipment in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and transportation requirements.
• Maintain accurate paperwork, inspection reports, and delivery documentation.
