Job summary

McGill Environmental Systems is seeking a CDL A Driver to support our compost manufacturing and transportation operations in New Hill, NC. You will transport organic materials and finished compost between customer locations and company facilities, operating a range of Class A vehicles with emphasis on safety and reliability.

The role offers local routes, home daily schedule, comprehensive benefits, and steady year-round work.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Safe driving record is required.
• Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
• Flexibility with schedules, including occasional weekends.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, dump trailers, roll-offs, and walking floor trailers.
• Transport organic materials, yard waste, and finished compost products.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Complete required DOT logs, inspection reports, and load documentation.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety standards.
• Maintain consistent communication with dispatch and operations teams.
• Ensure loads are secured and transported safely.
• Assist with loading and unloading activities when needed.
• Deliver excellent customer service at all locations.
