Job summary

Carter Lumber Company is hiring a Fleet CDL Driver to transport materials to our locations across Georgia. This full-time role offers home daily schedules, no-touch freight, and emphasis on safety and customer service at loading/delivery sites.

You will secure loads, tarps when needed, and operate in compliance with DOT regulations while delivering professional service. Growth opportunities exist within a values-driven, family-owned company.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and clean driving record.
• Flatbed experience.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations.
• Successfully pass required DOT pre-employment screening.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials to locations in a safe and timely manner.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service at loading and delivery sites.
• Secure the load and occasionally tarping the product.
• No touch freight; material loaded/unloaded with a forklift.
