Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is seeking a Class A CDL Driver in Melbourne, KY. You will deliver equipment to customers safely, on time, and with courteous service, while serving as a company ambassador who is home nightly because we’re local.

You’ll drive equipment and trailers, maintain logs, and uphold safety standards. The role offers growth opportunities and a comprehensive benefits program with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record.
• Minimum of 2 years DOT regulated Commercial Driving Experience.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures.
• Diligent attention to safety.

Responsibilities

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers.
• Operate construction equipment, such as semi-trucks and trailers ("low boys") per DOT CDL-A.
• Adhere to safety requirements including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Maintain driver’s logs and complete pre-trip inspections.
• Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
