Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Class A CDL Driver in Melbourne, FL. You will deliver equipment to customers safely and on time, serving as a company ambassador and ensuring excellent customer service.

You’ll be home every night and have opportunities for career growth within the world’s largest equipment rental provider. The role requires a valid CDL-A with a clean driving record, at least 2 years of DOT-regulated driving, and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Requires valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years DOT-regulated commercial driving experience.
• Superior customer service and teamwork skills; strong verbal/written communication.
• Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs; basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers.
• Operate construction equipment such as semi-trucks and trailers (CDL-A).
• Adhere to safety regulations including FMCSA rules.
• Maintain driver’s logs and perform pre-trip inspections.
• Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need; perform other duties as assigned.
