Job summary

Grace Railroad Contractors is seeking a dependable CDL Class A Driver and Equipment Operator to join our railroad construction and maintenance team. This role safely transports equipment, materials, and machinery to and from job sites while operating heavy equipment in support of railroad construction, maintenance, and repair projects.

You will travel to project locations, work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and follow safety and OSHA rules.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience operating backhoes and heavy construction equipment.
• Knowledge of safe excavation practices and underground utility awareness.
• Ability to read and understand work orders, maps, and safety procedures.
• Strong work ethic with reliability and attendance.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL Class A vehicle to transport equipment and materials.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain DOT logs.
• Operate backhoes and heavy equipment for excavation, grading, and railroad maintenance.
• Assist with railroad construction, track maintenance, and site prep.
• Load, secure, and transport heavy equipment in DOT-compliant manner.
• Communicate with supervisors and crew; travel to project locations as assigned.
