Job summary

IB Abel, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Driver to transport heavy equipment, vehicles, and materials between operation centers, job sites, and yards. You will support the fleet with routine inspections, route planning, and timely documentation.

The role requires a CDL A, clean driving record, and the ability to tow a trailer. You will work with multiple teams in a fast-paced environment across our York, PA area locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CDL Class A Driver's License.
• Must pass motor carrier physical for driving certain vehicles across state lines.
• Must be able to tow a trailer.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and loads.
• Can-do attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to collaborate with teams.
• Clean driving record and ability to drive company vehicles safely.

Responsibilities

• Transport heavy equipment, vehicles, and materials to and from job sites or different locations.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues; perform preventative maintenance when needed.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Document and log work/rest periods.
• Retain fuel/toll receipts and submit to Payroll on time.
• Comply with truck driving rules, route designations, parking and breaks.
• Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions and verify delivery instructions.
• Report defects, accidents, or violations.
• Assist with maintenance of tools and equipment and data entry.
