Job summary

Patriot Environmental Services in California seeks a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to support emergency response and remediation projects.

You will drive and operate multiple heavy vehicles, maintain safety, and ensure DOT compliance; 24/7 calls, long hours, weekends may be required.

Must have CDL‑A, Hazmat, Tanker endorsements, 40-hour HAZWOPER, and 2–5 years of field experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent highly preferred.
• Current Commercial Driver License, required. Class A preferred.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsement, required.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER required.
• 2 – 5 years of heavy equipment driving and operation required.
• 1 – 5 years of hazardous waste/environmental services experience preferred.
• Pass pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screening, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety is the priority and follow safe work practices.
• Drive and operate a minimum of two types of heavy equipment.
• Make deliveries in a safe and timely manner.
• Maintain DOT/FMCSA logs, timesheets, and vehicle inspections.
• Perform basic maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
• Respond to 24/7 Emergency calls and standby.
• Work long hours, including nights or weekends.
• Comply with random drug testing program.
