Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a CDL-A Driver in California to deliver food and related products to customers on intrastate and interstate routes. You will operate a tractor trailer or straight truck, comply with DOT regulations, and ensure on‑time, safe deliveries in a professional manner.

Expect a 4‑day work week with 10–12 hour shifts, overnight dispatch between 12AM and 3AM, and a supportive team environment with competitive pay and benefits starting Day 1.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A license required.
• 6+ months commercial driving experience.
• Maintain clean MVR over past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to secure one.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) and inspections per DOT regulations.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; report hazards.
• Inspect trailer loading; verify freight and complete required paperwork.
• Manage daily records and hours-of-service per DOT/state rules.
• Ensure secure handling of freight and timely delivery to customers.
