Dayton Freight Lines, Inc. is seeking Transportation/Linehaul Drivers to haul freight between our Service Centers.

This full-time role offers a mileage rate of $0.84 per mile and an average weekly pay around $2,300, with a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, AD&D and a company 401(k) match. Responsibilities include safe loading and unloading, pre/post-trip inspections, and adherence to procedures while maintaining vehicle cleanliness and interacting with internal

Qualifications

• CDL Class A with HazMat and Tank endorsement required.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Age 23 or older.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• No DUI or major violations in past 3 years.
• Basic math skills.
• Must hold a valid DOT medical card.
• At least 18 months of commercial driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Transport, load and unload freight between Service Centers.
• Perform pre/post-trip tractor/trailer inspections.
• Affix placards on tractor/trailer when required.
• Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle.
• Interact with internal customers during operations.
• Safely operate forklift to load/unload when needed.
• Be available for irregular schedules and long trips; flexible with shifts.
