Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to move products to customers across our nationwide network. This role emphasizes safety, reliability, and timely deliveries while offering strong pay and benefits.

You will operate tractor-trailers, perform pre/post trip inspections, maintain logs, and deliver to customer premises. McLane provides day-one benefits, potential sign-on bonuses, and a path to long-term career growth.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A).
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient for job-related tasks and safety.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of regulations and maneuvering the vehicle.
• Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt and temperatures.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a CDL-A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
